This past weekend I headed to Charlottesville for my five year college reunion and to catch up with old friends while enjoying the beauty that is The University of Virginia.
I can't believe it has already been five years! Wow how time has flown by.
I arrived in Charlottesville Friday night and met up with Celeste and John at their place. From there we headed over to the Fry Springs Station for dinner with friends from our Chi Alpha days at UVA (XA is our Christian fellowship). We caught up with Pete and Amy, our campus pastors, and our other fellow '05 XA grads who were in town. At the Chi Alpha offices
Look how big Ian is getting!
The '05 grads with our XA graduation picture...see the other classes' pictures going up the stairs behind us.
Saturday morning, Amanda, Andrew and I headed over to grounds to meet up with Christina and Jeremy to begin our day's adventures. We snapped some pictures on the lawn on our way to the Madison House 40th anniversary reception.
Being cute...we did a good job of coordinating without even meaning to.
In the gardens for the Madison House reception.
Then over to the lawn to relax for a bit and snap some more pictures.
UVA '05
A jumping shot with a GREAT story...Andrew ripped his pants midjump.
The evidence
Andrew at his old lawn room
Hanging out on the lawn...it was so nice, they had blankets, frisbees, footballs and refreshments for us to enjoy while hanging out on the lawn for a while.
We took this same picture in front of Andrew's lawn room the morning we all graduated.
Then off to lunch at Little John's where I had my usual Ranch Hand.
(However now they call it the Ranch Hand old school because I get mine with tuna still and the sandwich now comes with chicken salad).
A picture documenting how odd it is to eat BBQ sauce on chips, but at Little John's it's a must!
My Gamma Phi Beta reunions reception at the house.
Most of our pledge class...love these girls!
The McCormick's with their street.
Our Class Dinner
Good times catching up with old acquaintances from Resident Staff, the theater department and more.
After dinner and lots of mingling we headed over to the South lawn for a great 80s cover band concert.
Pictures of us enjoying the concert even though we were all glistening by now from it being a very warm summer night.
Andrew and I both wished Adam could have come along for all the fun. Hopefully he'll join us for the next reunion. The weekend was SUCH a good time and like my friend Andrew said, as much as I don't look forward to getting older... I can't wait for our ten year reunion.
