Adam graduates from COT!

So I was able to make it to Montegomery, Alabama to see Adam graduate from his Commissioned Officers Training.

Here is the parade field and the parade has begun. Do you see Adam up front?

Adam and two other officers stood in front of the parade field. That's why they are walking in a cluster of three rather than with their flights. It was pretty cool that he was volunteered to do that!

Here's Adam saluting the flag as it goes by in the parade to be followed by all of the flights.

Close up of my airforce chaplin! Just look at him, he is so official!

Tango Flight, which was Adam's, is parading by.
Adam rejoined his flight in the back to take his oath with everyone.

Congrats to all the COT graduates...here's where they toss their caps.

TANGO FLIGHT, good luck to you all!

COT

So here are some shots of what Adam is experiencing at COT!
From PT to Classroom time...they're learning about how the military operates as well as leadership and problem solving skills. This is his class of trainees.
The ropes and obstacle course.
Another shot of more of the guys that he's training with.

Things sound like they're going really well and he's enjoying it!

Adam becomes a true military man!

My hubbie in uniform! He's off to the airforce for the summer.

Military hair cut and everything.

Doesn't get much more official than this!

Adam's Chaplaincy Course

Adam had the opportunity last week to take a week long intensive course on Chaplaincy. He found it inspiring and motivating as he gets closer and closer to beginning his trainings this summer. We even had an opportunity to have dinner with a group of Chaplains and Chaplain candidates. The most exciting part of the dinner was the chance to eat and talk with Airforce Chief of Chaplains.
It was a delightful introduction for Jessica to the Unites States Airforce. We're really looking forward to how God plans to use Adam in the soldiers' lives that he works with.

Adam's Swearing In

Adam officially joined the Airforce Reserves.
He will be going into the chaplain canidacy program so that when he graduates from seminary he will be ready to serve as a chaplain.

Captain Blake was honored to swear Adam in.

He told us that it wasn't often he had the opportunity to swear in an officer.
Here is Adam saying the oath.

Then, putting his life into the hands of Uncle Sam, AKA signing his life away.

Finally, an official second lieutenant stands with his proud wife and captain Blake.
